Preview your newsletter in all browsers!

Coming soon - Inbox Preview - view your newsletters in various email clients/browsers before you send them.

With such a wide range of email programs to choose (Outlook 2007, Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo etc.) - do you know if they render your campaigns correctly ? To add to that list, what about all the range of smartphones and the iPad? Well, to test this question, you could have setup a myriad of email accounts and servers to check this for yourself. You could go to the expense of buying a bundle of smartphones and an iPad too. Alternatively, you can now click a button in Zendmail and all the testing will be done for you. How? Well, we have just launched a BETA version Inbox Preview tool that will be available to all clients shortly!

We will offer them in 10, 25, 50 and 100 unit bundles. So if you need to preview 10 newsletters, you simply buy a bundle of 10, if you want to preview 100, get a bundle of 100 and so on – it all depends on what you want ; how often you send and how many tests you want to run.

Check out these improvements to your Zendmail Interface!

Tomorrow, if you visit your Zendmail Dashboard ( User Interface ) you'll see that it's a bit more user-friendly! Yes, without any change to the functionality of the application, we’ve changed the design and menu structure and on the way, added a few useful features.

So, what’s going to change?
Well, for a start, the new Tips section; when selected, this displays tips relating to the particular section of your account that you're navigating and another useful tool is our new account drop-down information panel.

When you click on the dropdown menu you’ll see a display of how many credits are left in your account and when they expire. If you're getting low, you can simply click on the 'Buy More' button and in seconds your send credits are topped-up.

A/B split testing launched!

Streamline your campaigns by using the A/B split testing feature!

You've sent out 2 newsletters. One was in March and the other was in April. They weren’t very different, so why did March’s newsletter yield more newsletter opens? Was it the content, the time it was sent or just the subject line? The only thing you could do in the past was to take a guess and hope that the next send also results in a favourable outcome - or you could make use of our latest feature - A/B split testing.....

A/B split testing lets you experiment with different subject lines or content, so you know what will attract more opens and drive more clicks. In short, A/B testing chooses the most popular outcome, lets you know who the “winner” is and ultimately takes the gamble out of your email marketing campaign.
You simply select whether you want to do a subject or content test. Then select the percentage of your mailing list to receive your test. You decide how the winner will be determined, either via the most "opens" or the most "clicks". Then launch your test immediately or schedule it for a future date.

We will then automatically send the “winning” newsletter to the remainder of your list. A/B split testing isn’t something you should do just once. It should be an integral part of your marketing efforts, so you can pick up on subscriber trends over time and in turn generate more powerful email marketing campaigns.

'Drag & Drop' editor finally released!

The moment we have all been waiting for. Zendmail are pleased to announce the launch of our bespoke Drag & Drop editor. Our D&D editor wizard allows you to create a newsletter quickly and professionally with an option to use some cool styles and layouts to assemble a mailing in minutes. So, with a Zendmail account, you can continue to use our Editor 2008 editor with the bonus of using the Drag & Drop function also!

At the moment, we are including the D&D editor to all our current client accounts. However, very soon, we will be offering the editor as an ‘add on’ - so if you are not already a subscriber to our robust email sending engine, then now is the time to get on the bandwagon!

New feature - TriggerMail

Another item hot off the press from the team in the Zendell lab is the TriggerMail feature! The idea behind the TriggerMail was to provide an advanced feature incorporating our auto-responder service; offering our customers more flexibility with their automatic replies than was previously available in simple auto-responder.

So, why call it TriggerMail? Simple. It requires a trigger, or a prompt, for your email to be dispatched. These triggers can be fired off from link clicks, newsletter opens or even dates and times that you have set. It even runs on autopilot for when you are on holiday or unable to send the mailings/follow-ups manually!

We’ve laid out a whole selection of categories for these automated TriggerMails. Included are newsletter opens, link clicks, scheduled sends, anniversary triggers, unsubscribe and subscribe confirmations.

You can even use the scheduled send option to send out your monthly invoices, use the anniversary triggers for birthday wishes and send subscribers a "Thank you" when they have subscribed to a mailing list or a farewell note if they unsubscribe.

The use of this new feature even extends to RSVPs for a big event. We'll automatically update your datasets with "Yes" or "No" rsvps, as long as you have taken the few minutes it requires to set up your dataset options.

It is certainly not quiet on the Western front over here!

The major success in our delivery in all aspects of Zendell Limited is the simple fact that we provide all of our, including potential clients, all of the information they need to progress, even if they don’t use us as a provider! The profile is based on criteria that you have set (demographics, geo-location) which allows for highly targeted sends. The segmentation tool gives you the opportunity to group together all similar subscriber types from one or many lists within your account.

Each segment can be saved, edited and/or deleted. To view how this tool works please navigate your way into subscriber segmentation under the subscriber datasets heading. Click on "add a new segment", choose your dataset and mailing list; and based on the fields displayed in the drop down menus, define how you would like to profile your subscribers. Once you are ready to send to your segment navigate your way to this section under the "Send" heading.

Content Management Systems

ZENDMAIL - being providers for website design, web hosting and email newsletters - are regularly finding ourselves being involved with inputting Content Management Systems (CMS) into already established websites.

For those that don’t know, CMS is a management system that allows you, the client or editor, to simply log into a control panel and start editing your current live website, be it text, pictures, downloadable documents etc - without having to be charged by your web designer......well...

This capability is something that we feel should come with a web design automatically, but it seems many of our competitors either charge extra for the use of the system or prefer the client to keep coming back for updates and changes - thus resulting in further hidden charges down the line.

We have our own CMS system that we automatically include during the quotation phase of a web design project and give all potential clients access to our ‘live’ editable ‘trial’ site, where they can see the strengths of our simple system.

So, a web design by ZENDELL will already include a CMS.

And so it blinkin’ should!

ZENDMAIL has just registered with and been approved by, the UK’s top search engine Companies, TopTenQuotes, Approved Index and Quote Bean.

This is great news for us, as it saves having to spend time trying to keep our site up in the search engine rankings by forever working on our SEO.

Now we can spend our time doing what we do best and more importantly - love to do!

Music, video, eNewsletters, web design, web hosting ....

The beauty of the above companies is that it saves us the grief in sourcing ‘leads’ for work. When somebody does a generic google search, one of these 3 companies normally come up at the top. It saves the searcher time as all he/she has to do is enter the requirements, being website design, web hosting or email newsletters and the companies confirm/qualify the ‘lead’ verbally.

Then we get sent the information of the potential client!

It’s great! Well...we still have to pitch for it buts thats part of the fun!

Edinburgh International Film Festival

ZENDMAIL represented its service up in Scotland just gone at EIFF 2009.

It was a great success, with two new UK based Film Production Companies looking at using both ZENDMAIL and ZENDELL.

They are both looking at using our email newsletters, web design and web hosting for a forth-coming production.

Once the pre-production is in place, ZENDELL will step in and provide full audio sound tracks throughout!

Our new clients quickly snapped up our ‘negotiable’ package deals and wanted to keep a lot of their work ‘in-house’.

They have no concerns now and are confident with the solutions that we will provide across the Internet spectrum, from newsletters, web design to web hosting - which they can control themselves!

All 3 of us are seriously looking forward to working on the audio soundtrack productions, which will have some very special producers and artists featuring......

Well, it has been quite busy times recently at ZENDELL, with the introduction and development of ZENDMAIL!

We have just gone live with the website and have hopefully ironed out all the bugs!

Anyway, the website’s functionality tests have passed with flying colours, where we extensively worked on the eCommerce area - making sure that the security and encryption via PayPal and WorldPay were stable.

Our service will be offering the rates advertised on this site until the end of July 09, which you will find incredibly competitive!

Our rates will change in August 09 so be quick to take advantage of this opportunity!
